Directions to the Research Clinic

Our research clinic is located on the 13th floor of the Metropolitan Park East (Met Park East) building at 1730 Minor Avenue in downtown Seattle. 

PARKING INSTRUCTIONS

Parking is validated for Metropolitan Park East and Metropolitan Park West garages only. Neither garage can accommodate vehicles over 6’ 2”. We suggest parking in the Met Park East garage for easy navigation to the clinic, which is in the same building.

To park in the Met Park East garage, pull into Metropolitan Park East driveway (off of Minor Avenue), and drive up to the gray Flash Parking ticket machine located next to the garage attendant’s booth. On the touch screen, select “GET A TICKET” and take parking ticket from the dispensing slot. Bring it with you to the research clinic for validation at the reception desk.

As you drive into the garage, please do not park on level A. Continue driving down to level B or C.  Also, please do not park in a 2-hour space. Please follow these instructions so you don’t incur any parking penalties. Your cooperation is much appreciated!

To get to the research clinic from the Met Park East Garage:

  1. Follow the signs to the Garage Elevator Lobby.
  2. Summon elevator car by pressing the button located between the 2 elevators.
  3. Once in the elevator, select “L” to go to the Met Park East building lobby.
  4. After exiting the elevator car, proceed toward the bank of elevators ahead of you and to the RIGHT.
  5. On any of the electronic touch screens, touch the number 13 to summon an elevator to take you to floor 13. IMPORTANT: The touchscreen will then show you which one of the elevator cars is coming for you. Do not get in a different elevator — it may not be going to floor 13. Note: you can no longer select a floor once you are inside the elevator car!
  6. Once you’ve arrived on floor 13, follow the signs to the research clinic in Suite 1370.

To get to the research clinic from the Met Park East​​​​​​​ building lobby:

  1. Enter the lobby through either the side doors or the front revolving door (near Starbucks).
  2. Walk toward the front of the security/information desk and look toward the rear of the lobby (opposite the windows), where you will see 2 separate banks of elevators ahead of you.
  3. Approach the LEFT bank of elevators and follow steps 5 and 6 above.

STUDY PARTICIPANTS VISITING THE KPWHRI CLINIC

Once you are at Met Park East:

  • Take an elevator serving floors 11 to 20.
  • Follow signs to the KPWHRI Research Clinic, Suite 1370.

Clinic visitors must wear a mask at all times.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

  • I-5 Northbound (from the south):
    • Take Exit #166 Olive Way.
    • Take first right (unmarked) on Melrose Ave.
    • Turn right on Pine St.
    • Turn right on Boren Ave.
    • Turn right on Olive Way.
    • Turn left on Minor Ave.
    • The Met Park East garage entrance will be on the right.
  • I-5 Southbound (from the north):
    • Take Exit #166 Stewart St., and stay to the left.
    • Turn left on Minor Ave. 
    • Proceed 1½ blocks.
    • The Met Park East garage entrance will be on the left.

There are more than 100 buses that service our building within a 3-block radius. Please call METRO for rider information at (206) 553-3000 or see the Trip Planner on the METRO website at metro.kingcounty.gov.

FOR BIKE RIDERS

Bike racks are located on the A Level of the Metropolitan Park East garage and in “Visitor Parking” at Metropolitan Park West.
